Directions for Safe Environment Training:

Safe Environment training is required by the Diocese of La Crosse for all employees and volunteers working with children on a regular basis or in one on one situations. As a parish in the diocese, we comply fully with the following requirements.

Safe Environment Requirements:

First Year:
Fill out the Confidential Safe Environment Employee and Volunteer Questionnaire.
Fill out the Receipt, Acknowledgment, and Agreement Form
Watch the Safe Environment DVD (available from the Office of Religious Education). 

First Year and Every Three Years Thereafter:
Fill out the Basic Criminal Background Check.

Yearly:
Read the Child Sexual abuse Policy and Procedure booklet (Green Booklet)
Read the Sexual Misconduct booklet (Red Booklet)
Read the Providing a Safe Environment Handout
Read the Red Flags in Adults and Children Handout
Read the Five Steps to Creating a Safe Environment

Catechists:
Read the Truth and Meaning of Human Sexuality
Teach the Safe Environment Lessons for your grade to your students (Available in the R.E. Office)
