Saint
Nicholas Day Celebration:
At Saint Therese we are very
blessed to have an opportunity to meet Saint Nicholas
this year on the afternoon of
Saturday, December 6th, 2008. He brings small gifts to the
young
children of the parish. Due to St. Nicholas' very busy schedule, parents who would
like
their child or children to participate need to pre-register and call the
Religious Education
Office at 359-9006 by December 3rd. Thank you for your cooperation.
The Christmas pageant is open to all children of the parish and takes place on Christmas
Eve before the Christmas Vigil Mass with a narration of the birth of Jesus. If your child
is interested in participating in the Christmas pageant, please notify the religious education
office or let your CCD teacher know. Adult volunteers are also needed to help with the
preparation for the Christmas Pageant.
Easter Hopping In is a time for the very young children of the parish to have fun playing
some games and searching for
Easter eggs. It is tentatively scheduled for Saturday,
April 4th, 2009(the Saturday morning before
Palm Sunday). More information will
become available as it nears.
White week is a Polish tradition in the parish where those who have just received the
Sacrament of First Eucharist spend some time the evenings of May 11th through May
15th learning about
their faith. A trip to the Rudolph Grotto is scheduled for June 6,
2009 at 9:00 AM.
Vacation Bible School will be August 11th-15th, 2008. Our theme this year is:
"Assorted Saints and the Virtues of Faith, Hope, and Love." To sign up, or for
more information, please call the R.E. office at 359-9006.
